So I read the reviews of this place and was excited to go...until I got there. It's somewhat run down and had a strange odor (musty perhaps). We got pirogis and sausage. My husband's friend recommended the sausage and we were disappointed to learn that it was factory made elsewhere. The pirogis were just ok. They were nothing I'd go back for.
The pierogies this woman makes are fantastic! Awesome selection of all different combos. Although the kielbasa is an imported brand (not made there) it's still very good quality. I can only think of one better place to get homemade pierogies...Linden NJ. If you like pierogies or just haven't had a good one yet...stop in! Prost!!
Pierogies made daily, sold at the counter to take home and cook. Good variety of fillings. Advance orders taken, but you're usually in good shape dropping in in the middle of the day unless there is a holiday like easter coming up.
Delicious potato, scallion, & bacon pierogies as well as kielbasa! Took several other varieties home for later. Elena was a delight and very welcoming! Likely to stop by in a couple days for more.
Quality and flavor was fantastic, should order ahead if there's a particular flavor you want. Otherwise they make everything nice and fresh and they do run out so be quick!
